Appa.

I never imagined that you would leave us so sudden, without even saying goodbye and a tight hug like how you wished my birthday last year. APPA , I'm sitting here in my room , reminiscing all the good and bad times growing up in your home. Last one year, it's truly "our time". I'm happy that I've spent most of my time with you, hearing you talking so much of past glorious stories about Brickfields and Kuala Lumpur. You are an ocean of knowledge , this I admit. Though you are not with us physically, there's isnt a day goes by without thinking of you. I miss you so much.

Home sweet home

Woooshaaa..... after the long years of hardwork, stress and tensions taken to make our home into a shape, we finally rushed out of India on 17th June for our next day grihapravesham. The challenge was running around getting the things done and our last minute cute stove purchase in the Giant Nilai. What a relief, it was almost 3 am!

Seremban Immigration

It was the last  minute plan of B to drop the spouse visa - after a stretch of stressful walks to Jalan Duta and Putrajaya immigration dept. I was only a bit upset that the letters stamped was paid for is going to be wasted. Oh my smart cookie!

All I did was the extreme last minute call to Putrajaya and then to Seremban Immigration. A positive yes for application came and we thought of giving it a one last try. Hey.....! We did it, B's application was finally taken!

12.12.12

After all the big hoohaas about the world coming to an end (the Mayan calendar), well, we're still surviving with lots of  things happening in our interesting, unpredictable life !

The 12.12.12 made really interesting news on our national newspapers about weddings and registration of marriage ( R.o.M ). Yes, one of my cousin sister got registered to her beau. The Home Ministry's Dept @ Jalan Duta was too crowded, and guess what.......... after a span of 6 years met one of good friend who was there for his brother's 12.12.12. R.o.M.

The crowd!!

Sweet roses.
The couple is supposed to be registered @ 2pm but due to the crowd, the ceremony got extended to 4.20pm ! Well, I totally miss Bee for not being able to attend!

5 pm and we had our lunch-a din @ Naga's Brickfields. Overall, a day to remember !

Daughters in Law - the curse !

Well , the title in itself  speaks that being a daughter in law is the toughest role as constantly the daughter in law will be compared to own daughter.

The rule is simple , if  you treat your in laws as your own parents, then it is all easy after. However this rule does not work with everyone , sadly ! I have come across real nice daughters in law who have monsters as their mother in law and vice versa.

I just cant stand ladies who keep on complaining about their mother and father in law. Give it a break darling , they are not going to live or stick with you for the next 50 years of their life. I do understand that being a daughter in law in India is a challenge because the war between the in laws existed centuries ago. This will never end because in laws do see the difference between their own daughter and daughter in law.

I feel so sorry for girls who suffer in silence , who don't even speak against their in laws but they are being punished for things they don't deserve. Well , sometimes you can take it as no point talking to people who cant think good or appreciate you. It's good to move on with your lives.

Why the in laws relationship gets all same and strained in Indian families ? Lack of  respect - mother in law don't respect the rights of a daughter in law and daughter in law sees mother in law as an unwanted person.

These drama episodes never end unless we give importance for what we want in our lives. It's good to be balanced and least expect to get treated well by in laws. Poor guys, it's the husbands suffer most when they are answerable to their parents and wife. The family and world would be a better place if we stop envying or dominating each other.

Amma to THONEH

Driving to PJ, snapped this when boy drove us to the hospital.

The current KL Sentral, totally new look in my eyes....the crowd I mean!
It's been a long time we've postponed the eye check up for Amma. This time because Bee pushed, we decided to get her checked asap. The cab is freaking costly in the traffic jam. We had fun returning home in the LRT as we got down in the KL Sentral and had lunch at Gopala's - with my gaura tau foo.Fingers crossed, hope all's well!

Varalakshmi Vratham 2012

This year I am blessed with a chance of performing the Varalakshmi Vratham at my mom's place ( July 27th 2012 ). Total marathon of running around the KL and Brickfields , I should thank my Bee for gifting me with a precious piece of long garland :) You know what I mean and yes , we took great effort to decorate ambaal in our altar. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a grand day but we managed completing the pooja traditionally, that what matters above all! Thanks to Amma for being there and guiding me.Here , some feast to the eye!

Nish's 19th Birthday

The home's youngest a.k.a Bansoori @ Soori's 19th Birthday. After all the years missing out birthdays and wedding functions, we had the opportunity to celebrate her birthday. I still remember feeding her 1st year birthday cake  right after my high school days. All the good memories are somehow attached to our old home. The gift for the birthday girl ------- Estee Lauder eye shadow pallette, Marc Jacobs roll on , Estee's lip gloss , Swarovski crystal earings and the birthday cake of course ! I knew that was never  too much from a lovely sister like me ? :P

Vadapalani & Journey to Vijayawada.

Vadapalani is a special place just to worship Karthikeya/Murugan. Vadapalani is quite a famous place as most of  the cine crew members chose to dwell on. We had fun bus journey and  must I describe that the buses look like Malaysian buses in 1960's :) Raggy baby followed us and I enjoyed the fresh juices of Vadapalani stall.

Now, it's time to visit home. After all the long years taken by California lifestyle, I felt so happy to see the trains. Train journeys in India have always been fun packed picnic for me. I still remember the memories I carried when I'm married to my hunny bunny Bee. He surprised me with the Good Day biscuits ! Yes, 2012 Valentine's Day was a fun filled one.
We're the backbenchers!!

Slow down to enjoy life !

In this modern world , everything seems to moving extremely fast that we at times even need some "air" to breath !! I just dont understand the concept of  multi-tasking :))

Early morning , I see women who applies her mascara whilst driving , how ridiculous is that ? Rush , rush , rush hours. I feel this will only shorten our life span !

Why dont we slow down a little bit to enjoy life ??? Have anyone felt like this before ? I hate last minute work , last minute travel plans. Doing one thing at a time makes a lot of difference.

I have had women who said it off on my face " You are very slow " and claimed  "I'm super fast in anything , I do things very quickly"  ....well to many people , blowing their own trumpet works well to gain attention or to feel better :P

I dont know why do one have to judge another from top to toe. This is correct , that is wrong... very intimidating nature. Enjoying what we are doing is important to me. I just dont like rushing as though sky is going to fall on earth !

I dont like to wash vessels in my kitchen for the sake of washing , but I prefer to wash them carefully and ensure they are clean. I dont like to hurry taking shower , I cannot eat fast , I cannot quickly finish my prayers , simply because I dont do things for the SAKE of doing it.

I love doing what I enjoy , I eat slowly and taste every bits of  it ! It's quality not quantity.

Many of  us  forget to slow down and enjoy our family , friends and  nature around us. We dont really know how lucky we are............. god's most precious gift is LIFE , so LIVE , LET LIVE and LIVE TO THE FULLEST !
