Most of us will definitely go through a phase of life thinking of the past. After all, we are just human beings , we cannot be super extra ordinary without any emotions, be it good or bad. The question that always ticks on my mind is 'how long should I hang on to the past' ? I know it's going to be "FOREVER THE GOOD AND NEVER THE OTHER". The first half is done without any efforts but think about the second half.
Sometimes, we will never get an answer for the questions we search for. The toughest thing on earth is being able to live with oneself ! I know this is so absurd but self consoling works most of the time. I think I have started to count on my blessings than the problems I've faced, like I said the second half of the phrase takes a lot of determination.
I have had very good memories growing up and hardly any bad. People always loved us, respected my parents, laughed together, cried with us, and so life was good. People I met later in life were different; they didn't love us as much, didn't care for my parents much, no laughing or crying together and life was a little rough.
From time to time pride comes in between demanding self dignity or worse yet self pity comes in between suggesting aloofness and indifference. Lately I feel there needs to be an end to such "dangling references" and so I have started the process of "trashing out" to clear the system. What good is it to hold on to the past that brings fresh tears and a broken spirit? It will only reprieve the joy of present, and the peace of future.
Unless we help ourselves to do the 'spring cleaning' , we cannot live in an healthy environment. I strongly believe that you would agree that renting a space in our mind and heart for the trash of the past makes does no good. It's time to trash out the garbage of life and travel light to seek fresh air and build a happy home. The karma train may arrive late but it will never miss it's journey.

REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Mask
When it comes to face masks I’m not hugely experimental nor am I particularly that bothered. When I was younger I did the odd ‘peel-off’ tea tree face masks but more cause I liked the sensation of pulling it off rather than the results! In more recent years I’ve been using the Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask, but I just didn’t really feel that it was potent enough. So two months ago I picked up the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask and have been using it weekly (and usually on a Sunday) ever since, here’s the breakdown…
REN is definitely a skincare brand that I wish to purchase a few more bits from. Their products are formulated to be free from parabens, sulpahtes, mineral oils, silicones, synthetic colours or fragrances and whole other bunch of bad stuff. I got a sample sachet from Sephora and I may have to pick up the full size.
Their Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask contains natural fruit acids from passion fruit, lemon, grape, pineapple and papain from papaya to exfoliate the outer layer of the skin, encouraging cell turnover. So it’s basically a lightly exfoliating mask treatment, which helps to remove dead skin making the complexion look more radiant and combating congestion. Sounds amaze right?
When I first used it I was surprised by the consistency, it feels like smothering marmalade over your face – not great. It also tingles quite a bit, and REN do recommend that this isn’t the best mask for sensitive types, however I always just feel like it’s the mask ‘working’, and it wasn’t so bad that I had to remove it.
The main thing is how your skin feels when you take it off – and you know what, it feels fab! After using this religiously once a week for two months now, my skin feels smoother and definitely looks more radiant on a Monday morning after using this. It’s something I’m going to continue with and probably repurchase when it’s finished!!

Peaceful Warrior
Have you ever been downed by another person ? I believe that each of us would have come across at least one person who hates us or dislike our personality. Often, I've been surrounded by many girl friends, only to find out later that're actually with me to get favours and then bad mouth or pass rumours to satisfy themselves. Human nature, most of them tend to forget their standing of the past before seeking help.
I'm not a celebrity but I've always been the centre of attention wherever I went as a teenager. Therefore I have never felt the need of getting attentions, on contrast I'd always felt that it's just good if no one noticed me! Privacy means so much when I want to have good time with my loved ones and I dont need to answer silly personal questions from an acquintance whom I dont really know.
The problem with us Asians are being too nosy and interfering into someone else's personal room. The most common questions :-
1. What are you studying ? Completed your degree ? If it's in India , it's going to be 'dont you have Masters ?'
2. Are you married ?
3. Do you have kids ?
I see people are competing each other losing their identity. A person who's educated abroad may choose not to do Masters because they hold a recognizable degree. Indian degrees are not recognized as of a British or American standard, therefore there is a need to do Masters in India.
Marriage is a personal choice. Some may want to find their footing in establishing career.More than that, marriage is about perfect timing, matches are made in heaven and performed on earth. Thus, it's a matter of the right timing that one may choose to get married.
Now, coming to the most sensitive question of starting a family..... this is absolutely the rights of the couple depending on their personal choice of readiness to welcome the bundle of joy.
With the current economy turmoil, the living standard have lost it's balance.Thousands of employees were retrentched. People are leaving out their purchased homes and let it go on foreclosure. Families are not able to feed their kids. Despite all this, we should be able to drive our life with extra care that no one falls sick to be facing the bulky hit on pocket dollars with the medical insurance fee.
The world would be a better place to live if we're able to understand hearts and draw a line of behaving well with others. Best friends have all the reason to speak out for the good of their long steady friendships but the rest should learn to balance their interest in keeping up the growing friendship!
After all, I know this is a psychological factor of feeling good and comparing one self with another.

L'occitane Immortelle Scrub
If you are looking for a scrub that is gentle, yet still effective, this would definitely be your answer! I can’t think of anything I would change about it, except maybe make the tube even bigger

Benefit Refined Finish Facial Polish
Ever since I found out that my favourite makeup
line, Benefit were launching a new skincare range I have been pathetically
excited, and when I passed by my local counter on Thursday afternoon to find
they had samples of some of the products there for us to try , my day was made! I absolutely love the look and feel of this
packaging, all the mint green and faux cork caps - they'll look so pretty around
my sink!
I got a sample to try out from the Macy's counter at Valley Fair.
It left my skin feeling firm and exfoliated,
but not painful in a way that I have never experinced with any other exfoliatior
before. The beads were smaller and gentler than my Clinique Sparkle
Skin exfoliater which is painful, and it was light, creamy and smelt lovely.
I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on this product, as well as the rest of
the range and I'm pretty sure they will replace Clinique products as my skincare
staple. I tried the Total Moisture Face Cream while I was at the counter, and it
had such a nice smooth texture, was brightening, moisturizing and smelt really
nice and light too!

2010 - Recap
Where did all the months go ? I'm still on my hangovers that we are bidding 2010 a big goodbye ! 2010 , the year which brought lots of changes ever since 2008. Compared to the last two years , this year appeared to be of better year socially. At least , I've been totally occupied doing things in accordingly. It's been a very stressful year for both of us. Yes, we've moved to a lovely place for betterment. We are now in a nicer place , but the stress ? Undescribable ! The good side -
learnt to be a better cook , being able to make dosas and chutneys at home , baked goodies and cakes , of course not forgetting the ever best super sales of JCP.Super bargains! Each day seems to be new , life's beautiful.

Lany
One of my ever , ever best student. Being just 5 , this little angel sang so well today and yes with her favourite chocolate cake :) It's such a blessing for me to teach her music. I wish every child on earth is as polite , intelligent and smart like Lavanya. God bless her. I've seen people from every walks of life , every part and corner of the world and I feel nothing is comparable , the manners , bhaya bhakti and intelligence a tamil child have. Proud to be a tamilian , I pray , every birth I get a chance to be a tamilian just to chant Sivapuranam , Abirami Andathi , Aandal pasurams , Skantha sashti and skantha guru kavasam !
